The information we process

  • Contact and delivery details: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, including country and postcode, when you order or contact us.
  • Account information: your email address, sign-in credentials and account identifier, email-confirmation status, and profile or delivery details you provide. Authentication is handled by our account service.
  • Order and transaction information: the pieces and quantities ordered, selected configurations such as gold purity, gold colour and ring size, prices, destination-based VAT, order references, payment references and statuses, and fulfilment or refund information where relevant.
  • Communications and bespoke enquiries: messages, contact details, design preferences, budget and reference files you choose to submit. Please avoid including sensitive personal information that is not needed for your request.
  • Browser preferences and technical information: stored cart, wishlist, recently viewed items and destination preferences, sign-in session information, and operational error or email-delivery records used to run and troubleshoot the service.

You can check out as a guest. Creating an account is optional. Access to account order history relies on a verified email address; a guest order may be associated with your account when the verified email matches the order email.

Why we use data & our legal bases

  • To fulfil your order and provide requested services: we use contact, delivery, configuration and transaction details to prepare your jewellery, process payment, manage delivery and provide aftercare. This is necessary to perform our contract with you or take steps at your request before entering a contract, including bespoke enquiries and requested accounts.
  • To meet legal obligations: we process and retain relevant order, payment and destination information for tax, accounting and applicable consumer-law obligations.
  • To support customers and protect the service: we use relevant communications and operational records for our legitimate interests in responding to general enquiries, resolving problems, preventing abuse, maintaining security and administering the store. We consider your rights and limit processing to what is appropriate for those purposes.
  • Where consent is required: if a particular use of data requires consent, it must be based on that consent and you may withdraw it. Sending a service enquiry or receiving an order confirmation does not subscribe you to marketing.

Payments through SumUp

Online payment takes place on SumUp’s hosted checkout. We send the payment amount, currency and order reference to SumUp to create the checkout. SumUp collects the payment details you enter on its payment page and processes them under its own applicable privacy information.

Juwelier ASAD records order and payment references, amounts and payment status to reconcile your purchase and manage refunds where applicable. Our storefront does not ask you to enter full card details and our order records do not store full card numbers or card security codes.

Who receives information?

Relevant information is available to authorised Juwelier ASAD staff for customer service, order management and aftercare. We use Lovable Cloud for the store’s data, account and file-storage services, and Lovable’s managed email service for transactional messages and contact or bespoke enquiries. SumUp provides the hosted payment service.

These services receive the information needed for their respective functions. Order confirmation emails are sent after payment is verified as successful. Enquiry messages and any supplied reference attachments are delivered to Juwelier ASAD so we can respond.

Necessary delivery information may be provided to the delivery service handling your order. Relevant records may also be disclosed where legally required, including to competent authorities. We do not sell your personal data.

The store loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which receives the technical information needed to serve those requests, including your IP address.

If you choose to connect an assistant through the store’s authorisation flow, the current assistant tools provide catalogue information, not customer orders, private order documents or payment data. Authorisation and tool-operation information may be processed to operate that connection.

Lovable’s runtime services may receive error reports, the affected page path, and assistant-tool operation information such as the tool name, outcome and duration to help diagnose service problems.

Cookies & browser storage

The store uses browser local storage to remember your cart (asad-cloud-cart), wishlist (asad-wishlist), recently viewed products (asad-recently-viewed) and selected delivery country (asad-destination-country). These store product choices or preferences on your device and work without creating an account. Sign-in session information is also persisted by our account service to maintain account access.

Recently viewed information includes product details and the time a product was viewed; the current implementation keeps a limited recent history. Wishlist and recently viewed storage support convenience features rather than payment processing. They are not all described here as strictly necessary cookies.

You can remove this information through your browser’s settings for this site. Clearing or blocking storage may remove remembered products and preferences, sign you out, or affect cart and account functionality. Private browsing may not retain these choices after the session ends.

The storefront does not currently provide a cookie-consent preference panel. This policy is not a consent request and does not replace consent where the law requires it. External services, such as SumUp’s payment page, may use their own cookies or storage; their own privacy information applies when you use them.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of the status of your order or enquiry, account use, aftercare needs, disputes and applicable legal or accounting obligations.

Order and tax records may need to remain after an account is closed or an erasure request is made where retention is legally required. Communications, reference files and operational records are assessed according to their continuing service, security or legal need. Browser preferences remain on your device until cleared, replaced by the feature or removed by your browser.

Security & international processing

We use measures designed to protect personal data, including authenticated account access, restricted access to order information, server-side payment verification and controlled access to private files. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Our service providers may process information in more than one country. Where processing involves a transfer outside the European Economic Area, applicable GDPR transfer requirements must be met. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data. We do not assert a particular hosting location or transfer mechanism in this policy without verified details.

Your privacy rights

Under the GDPR, and subject to its conditions, you may request:

  • Access to your personal data and information about its use.
  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure where applicable; some records must be kept for legal obligations.
  • Restriction of processing in the circumstances provided by law.
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Portability of qualifying data processed by automated means on the basis of consent or contract.
  • Withdrawal of consent where processing relies on it, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise a right, email contact@juwelierasad.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal time limits. You do not need an account to make a request.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or another competent data protection authority. You are welcome to contact us first, but you are not required to do so.

Changes & questions

We may update this policy when the store’s services or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest update. For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact Juwelier ASAD using the details above.
